On behalf of the Pacific Coast Shipbuilding Association (PCSA) we would like to congratulate Seaspan Shipyards on the award of the non-combat shipbuilding program. Their hard work and professionalism during the RFP process was very important in obtaining this contract. It will benefit the industry, the province, and all of Western Canada. The association would also like to thank the federal government for the confidence they have shown Seaspan and the entire shipbuilding industry in BC. It’s an extremely exciting day for BC and our shipbuilding community and we look forward to building world-class ships for this country on time and on budget.
